Tony Gwynn Memorial
Lake Poway, California
It was my honor to be hired by the city of Poway and approved by the council to design and construct a memorial fitting of the legend, baseball player, Powegian and family man Tony Gwynn. The project spearheaded by Mayor Steve Vaus allowed for a spectacular tribute fitting of "Our Home Town Hero".Through the RFQ and RFP I developed we were able to hire the talented Seth Vandable of Cedar Hill Texas, who then submitted a design that was unanimously approved by a juried panel. 
Working alongside all the in-kind community donation partners the plaza design became a reality at Lake Poway. The memorial, which features an 11-foot tall bronze sculpture, was unveiled May 9, 2017 on what would have been Tony's 57th birthday.
